camvet veterinary clinic is looking forward to partnering with the Comboyne Show Association to operate a new fortnightly veterinary clinic at the showground. A clinic will operate fortnightly on a Thursday, the fist clinic will be Thursday 23rd of April from 9am and will continue fortnightly on a needs basis. You will find the Vets situated at the showground adjacent to the poultry pavilion.
Many of you may already know Gavin Rippon from Laurieton and Bryce Philpott formerly from Wauchope who will attend the first clinic. It is planned that two veterinarians will be attending the clinic from 9am which will allow for both small and large animals to be tended to, along with farm visits. The intention initially will be that domestic pets will likely be morning appointments along with horses and other livestock that can be floated in throughout the morning. Clients from the Lorne Valley area can also be tended to in the afternoons when the vets are on the return to Laurieton. Clients wishing to make an appointment should call Camvet on 0265599828 to book an appointment time. When you call, our staff will take plenty of information about the nature of the appointment to ensure that adequate supplies and equipment are available for the appointment type. All horses requiring dental work will need to be vaccinated for Hendra virus. Clients requiring a delivery of medications or vaccinations should also call the clinic to allow adequate time for ordering. Arrangements can also be made for any medications arising from your appointment to be delivered the following day or ordered and delivered at a later date. Some of the services we will be offering to start with include: · General consultation, health checks and nail clips · Cat clips under sedation · Vaccinations · Equine dental procedures (utilising the latest power float equipment) · Farm and property visits · Cattle pregnancy testing · Transport of pets to Laurieton for complex surgical procedures
